Cashier

You sell at the counter: you open your till, serve customers, take payment and close your till at the end of your shift. Here's everything you do, in the order your day goes.

Start your day

• Sign in
• Unlock a till with your PIN
• Open your shift, or take over a till someone else opened

Serve customers

• Sell at the counter
• Give a discount
• Take payment and give a receipt
• Refund a sale (a pharmacist or manager approves it)
• Sell without internet

End your day

• Close your shift

What a cashier doesn't do

Prescriptions and controlled drugs are for pharmacists and technicians. If a customer brings a prescription, call the pharmacist on duty.
