Approve at the till with your PIN

In short

When a cashier's discount, refund or cash difference is over their limit, they ask you on their till. Pick your name, type your PIN, and choose Approve. They stay signed in.

Who: anyone whose limit covers the amount: branch managers and the owner, and pharmacists for refunds up to ₦10,000.

Approve

1. On the cashier's till, Manager Approval says what's being approved and how much. Check the amount with the cashier before you type anything: your PIN approves exactly that.
2. Under Who is approving, choose your name.
3. Type your PIN.
4. For large amounts (from ₦50,000), also type the Code from their authenticator app.
5. Choose Approve ₦….

The approval is recorded with your name. It covers that one action and amount, for 2 minutes.

If something goes wrong

• "That PIN isn’t right. … tries left before it locks."
• "Nobody at this branch can approve this amount. …" It names who can; it waits until one of them is there.
