Stock on hold

In short

New deliveries, and anything with a problem, wait on hold until a pharmacist checks and releases them. Stock on Hold is where they do it.

Who: pharmacists and the owner, with a pharmacist on duty. Branch managers can't release stock.

Release stock

1. In Inventory, choose Stock on Hold.
2. Check each batch against the delivery: product, batch, expiry and where it's stored. Ready batches start ticked. Choose Release … batches: released stock can be sold.

Short-dated stock isn't ticked: open it and choose Accept the reason if it will sell before it expires; otherwise quarantine it. Something wrong? Move to quarantine… and say why: quarantined stock waits for a return to the supplier or a write-off. The Quarantined and Released today tabs show the rest.
